It looks simple, but the code is a real headache and I just spent days making it to work like I invisioned. Right now nothing is hooked up because it’s a work in progress. I’m also doing some hardcore SEO to see if I can make this site overpower my other sites in the search engines. I’m just getting started, so check back.
OK, I was over at this site and I changed or updated every page. It’s amazing how I can do work for other people and neglect my own projects. The thing I was thinking about was the next “logical progression”, which is to incorporate movies better. Which means, to start using the movies inside the graphics. So I’m going to do more of this and crank it up as far as I can go.

Ok, auto-play was already done.
Then there’s ‘auto-hide’ the control bar, which is done.
Then there’s ‘hide-the-title’, which is done.
Then there’s ‘auto-repeat’, which is done.
Testing all this out here first before updating their site and sending them instructions.

I’m still working on a major web application that runs a shipping and receiving business. Good thing I took a lot of accounting in school.
Not much time to blog, too busy working.
Today I’m testing some rss feed capabilities as related to youtube code. This movie is from the grounded aerial site. Trying to set it up so they can upload their movies to their ‘updates‘ page without linking to the youtube site to play the movie. Testing it out here first before updating their site and sending them instructions. Here I’m trying to do ‘autoplay’ and ‘hide controls’. Tying to do auto-repeat, not there yet. I think that has to be done when the movie is initially uploaded. Tell me different if you know.
Not a lot to report on right now. Started some work with a major company down in the financial district. A non-disclosure agreement was signed, so I can’t really divulge any details of what I’m doing. Just started a second project converting an old DOS-based application into a cloud-based web application. This project has a jump off meeting tomorrow. I’ll be working remotely with my good friend Mark Denny. We go way back to the days of Visionair.

Grounded Aerial Site…..
This project became a killer. The original plan was to go in and redo a basic WordPress site, so a new template was purchased and installed. Most of the work was done then it was decided that searchability was a key issue so the whole wordpress site was scrapped. I agreed to hand code a fresh site from scratch, then once I started, the site got bigger and bigger. The rusults are in. The site came out great and I’m adding a few last minute touches including an rss feed from the original blog site (maybe?).
Breaking News…..
The owner of the Grounded Aerial site has requested that thier site be updated. This should be a fun and exciting project for the upcoming holiday weekend (which just kicked off). the image at left is a screencap of their current site. I’ll drop in another blog entry to show the difference in the site after just a few days, so check back. We’ll probably be using a WoordPress template with some customization. Looks like the weekend will be at the desk rather than at the beach. The beach will always be there.
Just wanted to thank Jake Nelson for some quick graphics help with some simple business cards for Joe Energy yesterday. The animations he’s working on looked great. A lot of work with literally thousands of illustrations.

Just doing some final work on the Joe Energy website. Had a rough time. Someone questioned what I knew. If I say I know something, I know it. I don’t know anything unless somebody is paying. Once I start getting paid, don’t question what I know. If I don’t know, I’m more than happly to let you know that I don’t know. Had to waste a lot of time proving what I know. That’s never fun.
Oh Yeah, the photo! I decided to visit harlem. I used to live near there and even went by my old elementary school. The principal there says I’m still on indefinite suspension and can’t come back to school. At least my homeroom teacher liked me. She thought I was brilliant. No pictures of the school because they are under construction.
